The webinar “Modern women’s agenda and projects of the Eurasian Women’s Forum” was conducted by the Chairman of the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum, Senator Galina Karelova. She spoke about current topics on the women's agenda, how women become leaders, what they can do and are already doing, consolidating efforts to make the world a better and fairer place, how the Forum serves this purpose and what its projects are dedicated to.
The webinar was organized for students of three streams of the “Woman Leader” program, which has been held since 2020 by the “Senezh” Management Workshop of the presidential platform “Russia - the Land of Opportunities” with the support of the EWF Council under the Federation Council. At the moment, the program brings together more than 400 women from different Russian and foreign cities. The purpose of their training is to develop leadership qualities and competencies necessary for the implementation of social projects.
“Your audience itself is already a reflection of the features of the modern women’s agenda, in which the leading trends have become online education for women, social entrepreneurship, inclusion, and further increasing the role of women in society and the economy,” Karelova said.
She spoke about the projects of the EWF Council, which are aimed at increasing the participation of women in various industries, the digital economy, corporate philanthropy, territorial development, international cooperation, etc.
— Effective teams are working on their implementation. I don’t rule out that in the future some of you will join this wonderful community,” Karelova said.
The senator also spoke about the program of the upcoming IV Eurasian Women's Forum, in which representatives from more than 90 countries have already confirmed participation. Its main theme this year is “Women for Building Trust and Global Cooperation.” The central events will be an interparliamentary dialogue with the participation of women parliamentarians, government officials, representatives of international organizations, the BRICS Women's Forum, and an open meeting of the Women's Twenty (W20).
— The forum, as always, will be open, and you can follow its progress online, indirectly taking part in it. We really hope that it will become an important event for Russia and other countries and will help strengthen trust and cooperation among women in the name of goodness and peace,” Karelova concluded.
