V. Matvienko: The Public Recognition Award is given to the most active women who have become an example for many people in the world

The Chairperson of the Federation Council took part in the award ceremony for the laureates of the prize as part of the Eurasian Women's Forum.

Chairperson of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko took part in the award ceremony for the winners of the Public Recognition Prize. The prize was established by the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum and is awarded to women for their contribution to the sustainable development of society, the fight for peace, and for active charitable and social activities. The ceremony was hosted by Maria Sittel and Vyacheslav Makarov .

Valentina Matvienko noted that the award has become one of the symbols of the EWF. It is received by the most active women who have become an example for many people in the world. "We are proud that they are part of our Forum."

According to the speaker of the Federation Council, the prize is awarded for real projects, the promotion of Russian culture abroad, and contributions to strengthening friendship and cooperation between different countries.

The Chairperson of the Federation Council proposed creating a gallery with all the award winners on the official website of the Eurasian Women's Forum. "This will become a digital honor board."

The winners of the Public Recognition Award this year were: Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova , Chairperson of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Zimbabwe Mabel Chinomona , Chairperson of the National Assembly of the Republic of Zambia Nelly Mutti , Head of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency Veronika Skvortsova , State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Head of the Fatherland Defenders Foundation Anna Tsivileva , founder of the Cry of a Mother's Heart charity organization, First Lady of the Central African Republic Brigitte Touadera , Project Director of the Corporate Business Development Department of Sberbank Alla Sbitneva , wife of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Aigul Japarova , organizer of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance Anna Nesterova , publicist, author of books on the history and culture of Russia Elizabeth Heresh , and General Director of the NAFI Analytical Center Guzelia Imaeva .

The Fourth Eurasian Women's Forum is taking place from 18 to 20 September in St. Petersburg. The organizers are the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The operator for the preparation and holding of the event is the Roscongress Foundation.
