Participants of the III All-Russian competitive selection of the best social projects "Women for a Healthy Society" were awarded at the Eurasian Women's Forum
On the sidelines of the Eurasian Women's Forum, a solemn awards ceremony was held for the participants of the III All-Russian competitive selection of the best social projects "Women for a Healthy Society", organized by the Eurasian Women's Forum project "Women for a Healthy Society" with the support of the Roscongress Foundation.
The Women for a Healthy Society project is aimed at improving the quality of life of the population and strengthening public well-being by popularizing the principle of healthy lifestyle values among women of all ages, introducing tools that provide women with access to reliable and high-quality information on health management and health-preserving principles, and promoting female leadership through traditional family values. The Women for a Healthy Society project unites women with an active social position, broadcasting the values of a healthy lifestyle, a responsible attitude to their health, as well as the health and well-being of their families. The project gives its participants the opportunity to present their initiatives at a variety of significant venues at the federal and regional levels, in which they are effectively assisted by the annual All-Russian competitive selection of the best social initiatives aimed at maintaining health.
The III All-Russian competitive selection of the best social projects “Women for a Healthy Society” was held on the eve of the fourth Eurasian Women’s Forum and was dedicated to identifying the best socially oriented projects aimed at maintaining health and promoting traditional values.
The award ceremony was attended by the First Deputy Head of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia Tatyana Yakovleva ; Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Evgenia Kotova ; Head of the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor) Alla Samoilova ; Director of the National Medical Research Center for Therapy and Preventive Medicine of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Chief Specialist in Therapy and General Medical Practice of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Oksana Drapkina .
Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Evgeniya Kotova , taking part in the award ceremony for the participants of the III All-Russian competitive selection of the best social projects “Women for a Healthy Society”, noted the importance of supporting social initiatives.
"The President has outlined the national goal: preserving the population, strengthening the health and well-being of people, supporting the family, and one of the indicators that characterizes its achievement is increasing the duration of healthy and active life. During the days of the Eurasian Women's Forum, we discussed a large number of projects that are already being implemented and replicated, as well as initiatives that have received approval and need support, aimed at solving health-preserving problems. The range of activities that have been developed and implemented under the auspices of the public organization "Women for a Healthy Society" and help people maintain health is quite wide. This is disease prevention and early diagnosis of risk factors for their development, strengthening public health, corporate and municipal programs that create a health-preserving environment at enterprises and in every locality, assistance and support around pregnancy and childbirth, support and accompaniment of people with various, including rare and severe, diseases, psychological assistance, digital services and much more. Today we congratulate the women who won the competitive selection, and let me, on behalf of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, thank those who won for their great and very necessary work, as well as all the talented, smart, active and goal-oriented women who are implementing health preservation projects and giving people the opportunity to live a long, happy life,” Evgeniya Kotova addressed the participants of the III All-Russian competitive selection of the best social projects “Women for a Healthy Society” with words of congratulations on behalf of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation .
"The participation of women in the All-Russian competitive selection of the best social projects "Women for a Healthy Society" is of great importance, as women traditionally play a key role in the formation of a healthy lifestyle and well-being in families and society. Women, thanks to their empathy, creativity and ability to multitask, can offer unique solutions that take into account the needs of various social groups. Their involvement in social activities contributes to the creation of a fairer and healthier society, where everyone has access to quality health services, education and support. Projects initiated by women are often aimed at improving the quality of life, supporting vulnerable groups of the population and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Thus, the active participation of women in the competition not only stimulates the development of the social sphere, but also serves as an inspiration for others, which contributes to the formation of a healthier and more harmonious society, where every voice matters," emphasized Tatyana Yakovleva, First Deputy Head of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia .
Over 400 applications from 65 regions of the country were submitted for participation in the III All-Russian competitive selection. Also this year, the Competition entered the international arena, accepting women from the CIS and the Middle East into the ranks of its participants. The Competition reviewed the best socially oriented projects, led by a woman and having a high potential for scaling to different regions of the country.
"It is impossible to overestimate the role of women in maintaining and improving public health. Initiative women strive to develop socially significant projects aimed at popularizing a healthy lifestyle, improving the health and quality of life of our entire society. The Women for a Healthy Society project is a place where active women leaders can exchange ideas, knowledge and experience in the field of initiatives aimed at strengthening and promoting the ideas of health, family values and well-being. This is a platform with all the conditions for development and professional growth, a favorable environment with mutual support within a team of like-minded people, opportunities to scale up existing initiatives, gain impetus for creating new projects, as well as mentoring from expert curators. The winners and finalists of the All-Russian competitive selection of the best social projects “Women for a Healthy Society” receive traditional information support for their activities from us, undergo advanced training programs, and also have the opportunity to present their projects at a variety of important venues, which helps to form new social connections for the implementation of their own initiatives, acquire a pool of like-minded women and receive a powerful impetus for new achievements,” emphasized Anastasia Stolkova , head of the Women for a Healthy Society project, First Deputy Director for Development, Head of the Healthcare Directorate of the Roscongress Foundation .
In 2024, the competitive selection was held in four main nominations: "Health-saving technologies", "Motherhood and childhood", "Healthy lifestyle", "AI and digital solutions for health", and five special nominations: "Best entrepreneurial project in the field of health care", "Social projects of mutual assistance", "International cooperation for the health and well-being of nations", "Mental health", "Best youth project for maintaining health". Over the three years of the project's development, more than 2,400 participants from 86 regions of Russia have joined the Women for a Healthy Society community.
The Women for a Healthy Society movement is supported by the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum, the National Medical Research Center for Therapy and Preventive Medicine of the Russian Ministry of Health, the Research Institute of Healthcare Organization and Medical Management of the Moscow Department of Health, the Roscongress Foundation and the National Priorities ANO. The project was included in the action plan of the National Strategy for Action in the Interests of Women for 2023–2030, continuing the development of the ideas and values of the project of the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum "Women's Health – Well-Being of the Nation".
