The results of the health index study conducted at the IV Eurasian Women's Forum have been summarized

For the first time in the history of the Forum, participants from 126 countries were given the opportunity to assess their awareness of their own health. With the help of robots, the "Women's Health Index" was tested based on questions about key indicators: general well-being, blood pressure, body mass index, blood sugar, insulin, thyroid gland condition, etc.

Technical support for the project was provided by the team of the EWF Council project “Study of the socio-economic status of women: Russian and international experience” (NAFI Analytical Center).

Based on the testing results, the health index of the delegates of the Eurasian Women's Forum was calculated. With a maximum of 100 points, the final score was 74 points, which indicates a fairly high level of awareness of the participants about their health.

More than 80% of respondents rated their health as “strong” and “normal,” noting that they “rarely get sick.” More than 75% monitor their sugar and insulin levels (77%), as well as the state of their reproductive system (76%). More than half of women (53%) took medication in the previous seven days.

Alarming trends were also revealed: 26% experience emotional instability, 30% suffer from sleep disorders. Every fifth participant (20%) noted a vitamin D deficiency. Cholesterol levels are normal - in 63% of respondents, 16% of participants are not sure of the results.

The main problem was a lack of time, citing which 16% of women admitted that they had not undergone medical examinations for a long time. At the same time, only 1% of respondents indicated that “there is no way to get this help for free.”

The screening conducted is not just statistics. As a result of the study, the survey participants were given individual recommendations for further, in-depth diagnostics - which specialists should be contacted first and what should be given special attention.

— The results of the study, which the majority of the forum participants took part in, will allow specialists to draw their own conclusions about the direction in which work on forming a culture of caring for one's health should be developed, what "weak points" are common or most widespread, and what should be given special attention. 74% is a relatively high figure and indicates a fairly responsible attitude of women to their health, but we would like the health index to approach 100 at the next forum, — commented the Chairperson of the EWF Council, Senator Galina Karelova.
