The business program of the IV Eurasian Women’s Forum has been published

Its business program has been published on the official website of the IV Eurasian Women's Forum . It will take place from September 18 to 20, 2024 in St. Petersburg. The organizers of the Forum are the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member States. Operator: Roscongress Foundation. The main theme is “Women for building trust and global cooperation.”

— The Forum program is very extensive, it includes more than 100 events that cover a wide range of current issues of concern to the women's community. We are expecting more than 2000 guests from 120 countries. I am sure that their work will be fruitful - everyone will be able to find an interesting and important topic for themselves,” says the Chairman of the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum, Senator Galina Karelova.

The Forum's business program includes five thematic platforms, each of them dedicated to the participation of women in global processes taking place on the planet today: Women in the formation of a new agenda for peace and trust; Women in the new economic reality: technology and innovation; Women for a healthy society and social well-being; Women for a clean planet and food security; Women for the preservation of traditions and cultural diversity.

— Each of the thematic platforms is very capacious; within their framework, the Forum will raise all the key issues of women’s participation in the economy, politics, education, innovation, healthcare, culture, and ecology. Issues of international cooperation are highlighted today as a special block. I am sure that the result of the EJF will traditionally be new bright projects and initiatives that make our planet a better place,” said Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation Anton Kobyakov.

The key events of the first platform are the Interparliamentary Dialogue “Women’s Mission in Forming a New Agenda for Peace and Trust” and the open meeting of the Women’s Twenty (W20) “Going Global: Women’s Organizations and Multilateral Institutions.” The meeting will be devoted to consolidating the efforts of women participating in global integration associations.

The events of the platform “Women in the New Economic Reality: Technology and Innovation” will be devoted to rapid technological changes, the emergence of a new economic model of the world, and women’s adaptation to these processes, during which the megatrends of our time, the development of artificial intelligence, and the creation of a digital economy ecosystem will be discussed.

What are the modern formats and directions of international cooperation and cooperation, how is women's entrepreneurship developing in the new conditions, what role does women's leadership play - these topics will become the center of the Russia-Arab World dialogue, the International Open Dialogue of Women in the Nuclear Industry, open meetings of the International Council for the Support and development of women in industry and technology, the International Club of Winners of the APEC Women's Entrepreneurship Competition and other discussions. As part of the platform, it is also planned to sign a number of cooperation agreements.

The main discussions of the platform “Women for a healthy society and social well-being” will be devoted to the mission of women in ensuring social progress and preserving the health of present and future generations. The participation of women in the development of artificial intelligence and biotechnology in healthcare, in the development of the pharmaceutical industry, corporate, including international, health practices, as well as trends in longevity medicine - this is the main theme of the platform’s events.

How to maintain a balance between food security and environmental well-being, adapt to inevitable climate change, implement not only a low-carbon, but also a fair energy transition - these and other issues of the environmental agenda, the solution of which is impossible without global cooperation and trust, will be discussed at the events of the Women for a Clean platform planet and food security."

Within the framework of the “Women for the Preservation of Traditions and Cultural Diversity” platform, the role of traditions in modern culture, the economy, and in the formation of a solidary society will be considered. The winners of the “Women for Preserving Traditions” competition, which has collected more than a million views on VKontakte, will also be announced.

Russia's chairmanship of BRICS this year has assigned a special place in the program to issues of expanding international cooperation among the member countries of the interstate association. On the third day of the European Women's Federation, the BRICS Women's Forum will be held for the first time on its fields, within the framework of which a wide range of tasks is planned to be discussed. A meeting of the BRICS ministers for women's affairs will take place. It will be devoted to identifying vectors of interaction in achieving sustainable development goals, taking into account the national, cultural and economic characteristics of each country. A meeting of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance will be held, at which priority areas of cooperation in the context of expanding the association and the role in the development of business ties of the women's business community will be discussed. An international competition of environmental women's projects will be launched, and a presentation of the educational program “Woman Leader” in the BRICS countries will take place.

— The program is very rich. In addition to various formats of discussions, signing business agreements, several exhibitions, festivals, marathons and other events are planned. According to tradition, there will be an award ceremony for the winners of the international “Public Recognition” award, as well as other competitions of the Eurasian Women’s Forum held in the run-up to it.
