The architecture of the business program of the IV Eurasian Women's Forum has been published

The IV Eurasian Women's Forum will take place on September 18-20 in St. Petersburg. The architecture of the business program is published on its official website. This year the main theme of the Forum is “Women for Building Trust and Global Cooperation”.

— Our Forum is taking place at a very difficult time. Now more than ever, the voice of women is important for the world, their tolerance and balanced view of what is happening, the ability to find compromises and seek answers to difficult questions with the help of common sense, kindness and trust. We really hope that our Forum will unite those who share this approach and who are ready to work for the sake of peace and well-being of people. Our goal is to help build trust in the world, find new points of international interaction and cooperation, and increase the role of women in ensuring sustainable development,” noted the Chairman of the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum, Senator Galina Karelova.

The architecture of the program is based on a platform approach, which includes 5 thematic platforms and allows us to systematize priority areas of discussion: Women in shaping a new agenda for peace and trust; Women in the new economic reality: technology and innovation; Women for a healthy society and social well-being; Women for a Clean Planet: Creating Our Future; Women for the preservation of traditions and cultural diversity.

The central events of the platform “Women in the Formation of a New Agenda for Peace and Trust” will be an interparliamentary dialogue with the participation of women parliamentarians, government officials, representatives of international organizations, as well as an open meeting of the Women's Twenty (W20). The platform will include meetings of women diplomats and political scientists who will discuss the global challenges of modern geopolitics, a discussion of the humanitarian mission of women and related prospects for cooperation, a dialogue between women in Central Asia and Russia, a discussion of the role of women in the development of the EAEU, etc.

The time of rapid digital transformation has changed a lot in the situation of women in different industries: new employment trends and requirements for employee qualifications have emerged. The platform “Women in the New Economic Reality: Technology and Innovation” will host discussions on the role of women in economic development in the new reality; the impact of megatrends on the economic status of women; Global strategies for their professional development will be discussed; the roles of women in the era of artificial intelligence, international cooperation of women in different industries, etc.

Much attention will be paid to the topics of women's entrepreneurship and leadership. During the time between the forums, the International Council for the Support and Development of Women in Industry and Technology was created under the EWF Council, as well as professional communities of women in light, mining, energy and other types of industries, which are engaged, among other things, in training, promoting and supporting women leaders , development of international cooperation and creation of new products. This experience will also be presented within the platform.

International business dialogues of women will take place, including “Russia - Arab World”, “Russia - Serbia”, and an international teleconference “Women of Science and Technological Entrepreneurship”.

Events related to the presentation of projects and the conclusion of business agreements will find their place within the framework of the platform. There will be investment and creative “living rooms”, an exchange of business contacts, a “Voice of Women’s Business” marathon, etc.

Traditionally, much attention will be paid to issues of maintaining health, increased human needs to improve the quality of life, the introduction of new approaches and health-saving technologies in the context of rapidly spreading new viruses, and innovations in pharmaceuticals. The platform “Women for a healthy society and social well-being” is dedicated to these topics. Expert discussions, scientific and practical seminars, open dialogues and presentations will be held. The results of the work of the teams of the EWF Council projects “Women in the pharmaceutical industry”, “Women’s health - the well-being of the nation”, “Donation is in our blood”, etc. will be presented.

How to jointly confront modern challenges related to climate change, environmental pollution and depletion of natural resources, how women’s initiatives influence the development of the environmental agenda today, what is the role of women in the formation of environmental thinking - the platform “Women for a Clean Planet: Creating Our Future” is dedicated to these topics " Within its framework, the results of international women's environmental start-ups will be presented, an exhibition of eco-projects will be held, a discussion will take place of the results of the EWC Council project "Climate Initiatives and Carbon Regulation", prospects for cooperation and collaboration in the interests of the Arctic, the role of women in managing climate risks, maintaining a balance between food security and environmental well-being, etc.

One of the important events of the Forum, according to Galina Karelova, will be the BRICS Women's Forum, which will be held for the first time. During the forum, sessions will be held on the future of BRICS and prospects for cooperation, a meeting of the BRICS ministers for women's affairs, a meeting of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance, a Dialogue of Women Leaders of the BRICS Agro-Industrial Complex, as well as a session on the contribution of women to the energy transition of the BRICS countries.

Karelova also emphasized that all 32 projects of the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum and their results will be presented on the platforms. A traditional part of the forum program will be expert sessions with the participation of international organizations and associations, including those organized during previous forums.

2024 has been declared the Year of the Family in Russia. In this regard, the international forum-festival “Women for the Preservation of Traditions” will be held for the first time on the “Preservation of Traditions and Cultural Diversity” platform, during which presentations of the traditions of different countries will take place, and an award ceremony for the winners of the marathon competition of the same name will be held.

In total, more than 100 events are planned under the auspices of the forum. A highlight will be the award ceremony for the laureates of the traditional “Public Recognition” award, as well as the winners of competitions of the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum. The already traditional Health and Beauty Festival will also take place; an “expedition” into the medicine of the future, a meeting of women chefs, numerous off-site lounges, promotions and competitions on social networks are planned, the winners of which will also be announced at the Forum. In addition, participants in the IV Eurasian Women's Forum will enjoy a large cultural program.
