The winners of the “Heroines of New Time” competition have been announced and invited to the IV Eurasian Women’s Forum
The results of the “Heroines of the New Time” competition, which was held on the eve of the IV Eurasian Women’s Forum in the official EJF community on the social network VKontakte and in the vertical video service VK Clips, have been summed up.
“The goal of the competition is to stimulate women’s interest in active social and entrepreneurial activities, to discover new names of women leaders in various fields, and to promote the development of promising projects,” says the Chairman of the EWF Council, Senator Galina Karelova.
The main condition for participation in the competition, which took place from May 28 to July 25, was to have your own successful project. It had to be talked about in the format of a video clip or a post on VK with the hashtag #Heroines of the New Time. The field of activity could be any - business, entrepreneurship, education and science, state and municipal administration, healthcare, charity, social programs. The main prize is an invitation to the IV Eurasian Women's Forum.
It turned out to be difficult to choose the winners - the competition consisted of more than 50 people per place. Applications were submitted by 358 women from different regions of the country. They shot 100 vertical clips and published over 300 posts. Network users watched the participants’ work in VK Clips more than 5 million times.
The laureates of the competition were: Ilsia Zinnatulina (Petrozavodsk), Olga Pimenova (Izhevsk), Evgenia Balaganskaya (Kemerovo), Maria Karnaukhova-Panaugye (Provideniye village, Chukotka), Anna Karpova (Moscow), Irina Kozyrina (Revda, Sverdlovsk region), Marina Zvereva (Moscow).
Among the winners are creators of creative spaces and family businesses, authors of eco-projects, designers of workwear for oil workers, etc. Each of them is an example for many women, says Galina Karelova. Their initiatives serve the goals of sustainable development, transform territories, preserve cultural values, create jobs in the regions, and help import substitution.
— Creative, proactive, courageous - these are the heroines of our time, our Russian women. They are not afraid of difficulties, they know how to learn and, what I think is extremely valuable, for the most part they are women who count not only on the material, but also on the social effect of their projects. Many thanks to all participants for their activity. I hope that we will meet the winners of the competition very soon at the IV Eurasian Women’s Forum, and it will open new horizons for them. We will offer the rest of the bright participants of the competition participation in projects and events of the EJF Council. “Great luck to everyone, new achievements, health and well-being,” Galina Karelova said in conclusion.
