Competition for women's startups from BRICS countries announced

At the BRICS Women's Entrepreneurship Forum, which takes place in Moscow, a Women's Startup Competition was announced.

Anna Nesterova, Chairman of the Russian part of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance, announced its official launch; it will run from June to October 2024.

The application and selection process will take place online from June to September 2024. The award ceremony for the winners of the Competition is planned to be held as part of the BRICS Business Forum in October 2024 in Moscow.

The competition will be held in such categories as IT, education, health and medicine, ecology, food security and agriculture, innovation and infrastructure, artificial intelligence. In each nomination of the competition, the international jury will select 3 winners.

Members of the Competition jury will be representatives of national parts of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance, as well as representatives of the business community of the BRICS countries.

The main goal of the Competition, according to the Chairman of the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum Galina Karelova, is to support and create new incentives for the development of businesses of women entrepreneurs from the BRICS countries, replicating the best startups.

— At the Eurasian Women’s Forum, which will be held at the end of September this year in St. Petersburg, we will try to organize a presentation of projects that will be included in the long list. This will be an additional opportunity to support them and find investors,” she said.
