The results of the IV Eurasian Women's Forum were summed up at a meeting of the Federation Council

At the 575th plenary session of the Federation Council, the Chairperson of the Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko gave a high assessment of the IV Eurasian Women's Forum, noting that it had become an important international event - representatives of 126 countries took part in the forum, and more than one hundred events were held within the framework of the main program, including the first BRICS Women's Forum.

The high status of the Forum was given by the participation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. The business program included more than 100 events. In total, more than 300 events were held under the auspices of the forum.

The Chairperson of the EWF Council, Senator Galina Karelova, added that the Forum agenda met public demand. This is evidenced by the multi-million audience reach. Only the Eurasian Women's Forum community page on the VKontakte social network has recorded more than 5.5 million views.

She called the success of the Forum the result of great teamwork and expressed great gratitude to Valentina Matviyenko for the idea of the Forum, the promotion of the women's agenda and the support of women at all levels. Karelova also thanked the government, ministries and departments, all senators who helped organize the Forum and took part in it, Roscongress, partners, the Apparatus and the press service of the Federation Council.

Galina Karelova drew attention to the new formats of the business program, which made it possible to find new points of contact and mutual interests of the Forum participants.

For the first time, the work of the Business Center of the Eurasian Women's Forum and the Investment Lounge was organized; these platforms allowed entrepreneurs to get to know each other, potential investors and Russian export products.

The most visible hospitality zone was the space of the forum-festival "Women for the Preservation of Traditions". Competitions, awards, flash mobs, ethno-lectures, demonstration of the national and cultural diversity of the forum participants - all this created an unforgettable atmosphere.

The first BRICS Women's Forum was held on the sidelines of the forum, which included meetings of the ministers for women's affairs of the Alliance countries, women leaders of the agro-industrial complex, the first meeting of the BRICS Civil Council, an open meeting of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance, etc.

According to established tradition, the Forum included a visiting meeting of the Women's Twenty, the International Club of Winners of the International Competition of Women's Entrepreneurial Projects in APEC, a dialogue between women of Russia and Africa, and Russia and the Arab world.
