The IV Eurasian Women's Forum hosted a solemn awards ceremony for the winners of the EWF Council's "Heroines of the New Time" competition

The competition under this name was held from May 28 to July 25, 2024 in the official EJF community on the VKontakte social network and in the vertical video service VK Clips. The main condition was the presence of a successful project in any field, which the participants had to talk about in the format of a video clip or post.

According to the Chairperson of the EWF Council, Senator Galina Karelova, the main goal of the competition was to stimulate women's interest in active social and entrepreneurial activities, to discover new names of women leaders, and to promote the development of promising projects.

The choice of winners was not easy — the competition was 50 people per place. Applications were submitted by 358 women from different regions of the country. They shot 100 vertical clips, published over 300 posts. Among the participants of the competition were creators of creative spaces and family businesses, authors of eco-projects, designers of workwear, organizers of museums. Internet users watched the participants' work clips on VK more than 5 million times.

The winners of the competition were: Ilsia Zinatullina (Petrozavodsk), Olga Pimenova (Izhevsk), Evgenia Balaganskaya (Kemerovo), Maria Karnaukhova-Panaugye (Provideniye village, Chukotka), Anna Karpova (Moscow), Irina Kozyrina (Revda, Sverdlovsk region), Marina Zvereva (Moscow).

— We are proud of you — talented, proactive, courageous, — said Galina Karelova, Chairperson of the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum, addressing the winners at the award ceremony. — Each of you is a true heroine of our time, an inspiring example for many. I hope that you will definitely have followers. I believe that the Eurasian Women's Forum will become an event for you that will play a role in your personal development and in the development of your projects, and will give impetus to new ideas and deeds. In her speech, VK Vice President Elina Isagulova noted that the stories told by the competition participants inspired many network users to create new social projects.

— We were happy to use the opportunities of both the VKontakte social network and the VK Clips service to promote the contest and its heroines. It opened up new names, new projects, new businesses to our users and gave them confidence in their own abilities. This is a very important social effect, which can be considered another victory for the “Heroines of the New Time” contest, — Elina Isagulova concluded.
