Awards of the National Competition "Leaders for Women" were presented at the Eurasian Women's Forum
The national competition "Leaders for Women" is held by the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum and the Association of Grant-Giving Organizations "Forum of Donors" for companies belonging to large and medium-sized businesses. It is designed to scale up the best practices of companies aimed at expanding opportunities for career and professional development of women, supporting the employment of women with children and expectant mothers, improving the quality of life of working women.
The Chairperson of the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum, Senator Galina Karelova noted the great importance of the competition in creating conditions for women's self-realization at enterprises.
— This competition plays a major role in increasing the social responsibility of companies. For most modern women today, both family and professional growth are equally important. Thanks to the implementation of strategies to support women, the choice of "family or career" is often completely removed from the agenda. I really hope that over time, "family plus successful career" will become a widespread norm in the lives of our women, — said Karelova.
Senator Olga Shchetinina and the coordinator of the project of the Council of the European Women's Fund "Women in the Development of Charity and Corporate Social Responsibility", executive director of the Association of grant-giving organizations "Donor Forum" Alexandra Boldyreva presented awards in 5 nominations and the grand prix.
In the nomination "Leaders of Professional Development" the winner was the company JSC "Russian Railways" with the project "How to be successful and happy". These are supportive lectures and master classes online, as well as corporate excursions and sports trips. More than 10 thousand female employees of Russian Railways have already taken part in the project.
In the nomination "Leaders in Support of Motherhood and Childhood", the diploma was awarded to Sberbank PJSC for the multimedia course "Conscious Parenthood". The platform was created specifically for employees with children for psychological and informational support, the curriculum allows you to delve into the issues of relationships between parents and children of different ages.
In the nomination "Leaders of Corporate Changes" SIBUR was noted and its project "Community of Equal Opportunities", covering the entire geography of the company. Key vectors are the development of female leadership, support for family and parenthood, people with health problems, interaction between young and more experienced employees, labor dynasties.
In the personal nomination "Champions of Change" - it is awarded for a significant contribution to the creation of equal opportunities for men and women, the eradication of stereotypes, the award was given to Marina Demina, co-founder of the polymer plant "Mega-Pak". She implements many social initiatives, including the development of entrepreneurial skills in women, including those on maternity leave.
Another winner in the same nomination is Vera Podguzova, Senior Vice President, Director of External Relations of PJSC Promsvyazbank. Her work is focused on increasing the level of financial literacy of Russians. The project of the EWF Council "Women's Leadership in Investments" is an initiative of PSB Bank, included in the plan of the National Strategy of Actions in the Interests of Women for 2023-2030.
The Grand Prix was awarded to the Rosatom State Corporation. The jury noted the large-scale initiative of 2022 — the creation of the International Council for the Support and Development of Women in Industry and Technology. The Council members include representatives of 12 countries, including scientists, manufacturers, and members of the public.
