Galiocell presented at Eurasian Women's Forum
On the sidelines of the IV Eurasian Women's Forum, a presentation of the production of a new type of raw material developed by participants of the EWF Council project "Women in Light Industry" took place.
It was conducted by co-coordinators of the project of the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum "Women in Light Industry" - General Director of the cotton mill "Shuiskie Sitsy" Anna Bogadelyna and Director of Projects of the Department of Corporate Business Development of PJSC Sberbank Alla Sbitneva, who are the creators of the new material.
— We are talking about the construction of a plant for the production of green viscose "haliocell". This is an environmentally friendly raw material obtained from our renewable wood resource - cellulose. This raw material will be used in the production of components and semi-finished products in various industries: pharmacology, medicine, light industry, etc. — said Anna Bogadelyna, General Director of the Shuyskiye Sittsy Cotton Mill.
According to her, no one in the world has yet obtained threads for the production of fabrics from commercial cellulose. This technology is unique.
The presentation demonstrated haliocell fabric as one of the types of products based on the new raw material. It will be produced in Shuya, where there is the necessary infrastructure. A plant with a capacity of 60 thousand tons per year should be built here. This should meet the needs of the domestic market and ensure export supplies. The feasibility study for the project is currently being developed, and the financial model is being determined. Equipment suppliers have already been found.
"I am impressed by the presentation," commented Galina Karelova, Chairperson of the EWF Council. "The developers are solving the most important task for the country of ensuring raw material security. And this is a guarantee of stability and an opportunity for strategic planning on a national scale. The projects of the Eurasian Women's Forum correspond to these very principles. I sincerely wish our women good luck in implementing this project."
