The results of the World Competition "Woman of the Russian World" were summed up at the Eurasian Women's Forum

On September 19, the fourth Eurasian Women's Forum hosted a solemn awards ceremony for the winners of the World Contest "Woman of the Russian World". The contest was organized by the World Federation of Russian-Speaking Women.

Member of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, coordinator of the projects of the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum "Russian Compatriots Abroad", "Club of Women Parliamentarians" Elena Afanasyeva spoke about the participants of the competition - Russian-speaking women who are members of international organizations, business and scientific communities, public organizations and implement socially significant projects in Russian.

She noted that the competition leaders, who received recognition for their achievements, will be able to scale up their projects in the regions of Russia and establish interregional contacts with government officials and the business community.

Following the results of the “Woman of the Russian World” competition, winners were determined in several nominations:

— nomination “Art and Culture”: Ekaterina Alekseeva (Thailand) — is a UN Goodwill Ambassador, teaches, and conducts special events for Thai schoolchildren;

— nomination “Youth Policy”: Olga Klyuchevskaya (Volgograd) — works with young people at the Perekrestok center, conducts surveys, scientific research, works with difficult teenagers;

— nomination “Social projects and volunteering”: Alexandra Sinyak (St. Petersburg) — heads the charity foundation “Dobrodomik”, organizes the work of a cafe with free lunches, is engaged in the socialization of the older generation and children from orphanages;

— nomination “Entrepreneurship”: Yulia Pankova (Sevastopol) — runs the family carpentry workshop “Smeta”, which makes lamps, souvenirs, mini-farms for animals;

— nomination “PR and Journalism”: Marianna Mladenovic (Serbia) — heads the association “Russia”, actively participates in the work of public organizations and the National Council, organizes radio and television programs in Russian, Days of Culture.

Elena Afanasyeva congratulated her compatriots on winning the competition: "I am sincerely glad that we carried out a great selection process, and I am happy for those who received the award. Thank you! You can be trusted, your work deserves recognition!"

The Fourth Eurasian Women's Forum is taking place from September 18 to 20 in St. Petersburg. The organizers of the EWF are the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The operator for the preparation and holding of the event is the Roscongress Foundation.
