Teams of two new projects of the EWF Council will take part in the IV Eurasian Women's Forum
— 83 days remain until the IV Eurasian Women’s Forum, in preparation for which the EWF Council team is actively involved. The remaining time must be used as efficiently as possible so that, like previous forums, it is remembered and becomes a bright international event that will expand the circle of Russia’s friends and become a source of new decisions aimed at the benefit of people,” said, opening the meeting, the Chairman of the EWC Council, Senator Galina Karelova.
She thanked the Council members for their great work in organizing a series of major international events preceding the Forum: III Women's Forum in Kuzbass, BRICS Women's Entrepreneurial Forum, sessions of the EWF Council at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and the Russia-Islamic World Forum in Kazan, etc. According to Karelova, this helped increase the number of supporters of the ideas of the Eurasian Women’s Forum, supplement the agenda of the IV Forum, launch new initiatives and projects, and launch several competitions for women, the winners of which will take part in it.
In particular, she noted, the competition for women leaders is currently ongoing on the VK information platform “Heroines of the New Time”; a competition organized jointly with the National Center of Historical Memory under the President of the Russian Federation “Women for the Preservation of Traditions”, which has already collected more than half a million views; competition for employers “Leaders for Women”, etc.
On July 1, a new international competition will start - “Cultural Code 2.0: Women’s Entrepreneurship”, the winners of which will be able to present their products at the IV Eurasian Women’s Forum. The criteria include the use of folk design codes of the country (in Russia, for example, Gzhel, Khokhloma, national ornaments, etc.), images of popular places in the manufacturer’s region or famous figures in goods or their packaging.
“I am sure that thanks to the national flavor, the usual “Made in Russia” will sparkle with new colors, and the products of our women entrepreneurs will become more recognizable and attractive,” says Karelova.
New projects of the EJF Council were also presented to the attention of those present. The purpose of one of them is to support and promote women in the pulp and paper industry (PPI). This industry, which is strategically important for the country and faces the challenge of achieving high environmental standards, is experiencing a shortage of qualified specialists. According to the authors, attracting women to this sector of the economy, where their share is currently no more than 30%, will significantly increase its efficiency. Among the goals of the project are the development of international cooperation among women pulp and paper industry specialists, cooperation with world industry leaders, etc.
The goal of another project, “Donation is in our blood,” is to popularize donation, increase the recognition and prestige of the profession of a transfusiologist and other medical workers in the blood service. At the Forum, within the framework of the project, it was proposed to hold a flash mob “Donor Heart” and other events.
The meeting participants also discussed the progress of preparations for such significant international events of the Forum as the meeting of the Women's Twenty, the holding of BRICS Day, rich in various events, additions to the business and cultural programs of the Forum, etc.
“The EWF Council will make every effort to ensure that the atmosphere of the Forum corresponds to its main theme - “Women for building trust and global cooperation,” Karelova said in conclusion.
