Eurasian Women's Forum continues
Foreign schools will be included in the children's diplomacy project "Embassy of the Future". The agreement was reached at the IV Eurasian Women's Forum.
At the Forum session “Dialogue of Generations: Transformation of Women’s Leadership,” experts from Indonesia, Colombia, France, Thailand, Serbia and other countries discussed forms of partnership among young people, successful practices of supporting young women teachers and expanding their participation in public diplomacy.
The Embassy of the Future was presented by its director, the director of the private school "Generation" from Volgograd Alexandra Sukiasyan (the project is being implemented by the Eurasian Children's Community). She shared her experience of working with foreign schoolchildren and students.
"What should we teach modern children, future leaders? Today our children live in a world where thousands of kilometers can be covered in one click, where teams from different countries gather for projects, so it is important to give children the skill of intercultural communication, knowledge of how to negotiate with any inhabitant of the planet," Alexandra noted.
Within the framework of the Forum, an agreement was reached on cooperation with new partners representing the private education sector in other countries. The first visit of the "Embassy of the Future" delegation is planned to Kazakhstan.
The first friendship event after the Forum took place on September 23 - a "Peace Day" was held in a Volgograd school, organized by teachers of the English language department. On this day, senior students taught students in grades 5-8, and guests from different countries - Egypt, India, and African republics - attended the lessons. The invitees told about the traditions of their countries, and the children practiced their spoken English.
At the end of the event, the students made an art object symbolizing the friendship of nations.
