The business program of the IV Eurasian Women's Forum will consist of five thematic platforms

A meeting of the Organizing Committee of the IV Eurasian Women's Forum was held, chaired by Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko. Committee members discussed the progress of preparations for the forum and its concept, which was presented by the Chairman of the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum Galina Karelova.

According to Karelova, it will consist of five thematic platforms: Women in shaping a new agenda for peace and trust; Women in the new economic reality: technology and innovation; Women for a healthy society and social well-being; Women for a Clean Planet: Creating Our Future; Women for the preservation of traditions and cultural diversity.

Within each platform, key strategic sessions, mini-plenaries, as well as thematic platforms, dialogues, meetings of international associations, business breakfasts, and meetings on the most pressing issues within the platforms will be held.

“Particular attention will be paid to events related to BRICS,” said Galina Karelova. “The third day of the Forum will be dedicated to them.” The main one is the BRICS Women's Forum, which will be held for the first time. Meetings of the BRICS ministers for women's affairs, the BRICS Women's Business Alliance, a dialogue between women leaders of the agro-industrial complex, as well as women bloggers from the BRICS countries are also planned.

According to the senator, the program of the IV Eurasian Women's Forum is very rich. Participants will be provided with a large selection of events, the total number of which will be more than 100. Thus, for the first time on the sidelines of the forum, the forum-festival “Women for Preserving Traditions” and the award ceremony for the winners of the marathon competition of the same name will be held. The international marathon “Voice of Women's Business” will also be held, an “Investment Lounge”, a Health and Beauty Festival, an “expedition” into the medicine of the future, and a meeting of women chefs will be organized. A highlight should be the awarding of the laureates of the “Public Recognition” award.

“I am confident that the IV Eurasian Women’s Forum will answer many important questions and make a great contribution to strengthening peace and cooperation,” Galina Karelova concluded her speech.

The meeting was also attended by Secretary of State and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Evgeny Ivanov; Secretary General of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of States Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States Dmitry Kobitsky; General Director of Russian Export Center JSC Veronika Nikishina, Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Natalya Chechina, Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare, Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation Anna Popova, Acting Head of the Main Directorate for Ensuring the Protection of Public order and coordination of interaction with executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Dmitry Datsko, General Director of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company Oleg Dobrodeev, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Andrey Malyshev, etc.
